We arrived in Amsterdam apprehensive because we had stayed in some dodgy Hotels during our travels. First glimpse of the Leonard Royal Hotel was promising, then we walked into the lobby and were greeted by the clean, impressive area. The staff could not have been more welcoming and friendly, explaining the facilities and answering our questions and we had many. The hotel is located opposite the train station with frequent trains heading the short distance to the centre of Amsterdam. The hotel had a very impressive sauna, steam room, wellness suite and gym with an area set aside for meditation or to just relax sense and sounds. Extra clean towels and robes provided. In two months of traveling through Europe and the UK, we had the best breakfast in this hotel, it was great value for money with such a great selection.

The staff was really the best part of the stay. There were quite a few things I needed their help with and they always delivered. For example, I didn't bring a wall adapter so the receptionist provided me with one that was awesome. It had multiple usb ports too. Huge life saver. In another instance, they helped me cut off the annoying bracelet from the expo and when I told them I accidentally took my colleague's key card and had to leave, they had no problem whatsoever keeping her card at the lobby so that I could go out to town and not have to wait for my colleague to give her the card. So helpful and so kind, honestly. Thanks guys!

The hotel has a beautiful interior. Everything is in full order. Its is not close to the center by foot, however, the subway passes right in front of the building and is very comfortable. The staff is extremely friendly and polite, at the reception and at the bar and restaurant as well. The room was good enough for two people. It had a large glass window and a very beautiful view of the highway. Also, breakfast was very tasty. Both hot and cold dishes. desserts, etc ♥️

Great value for a modern hotel. Standard rooms are on the smaller size but typical for Europe and suited our needs well. Clean with quality bedding and furnishings. Helpful reception staff always available. Metro station across the road was handy but be mindful that the elevators were very temperamental, so for anyone with mobility issues it may not be ideal as there are quite a lot of stairs.

The whole hotel atmosphere was outstanding, the light, the interior, etc. We had a nice room number with a great view, which was clean and met all our expectations. The breakfast was a great experience as well and had a huge variety of food to choose from, I was pleased with the quality of the products.
